The editing process is so interesting to me. It's fun to sit down and figure out where I want an image to go, and what mood or feeling I want the photograph to have. I've realized that there are a lot variables that help me choose which direction I decide to go. I've also realized that the same photograph- on different days- is very likely be edited completely different. Cropping, lightening, saturating, burning, dodging, blurring and sharpening are just the tip of the iceburg in the editing world and it's amazing how the tiniest change can effect the whole look of a picture.
Here is a good example of how small changes make a huge difference:
Left: Original cropping, cool colors
Right: Cropped, warm colors

That is cool, you should post more before and after pictures. It is interesting to see how different things can end up looking.
