Who's Hayley??

I've mainly been posting photos from recent sessions and not a whole lot from my personal life. Soooo, I thought it might be kinda fun to blog about me today. Things I like, don't like... That way those of you who don't really know me can get a little glimpse of who I am. And for those who do know me, maybe you'll learn something you didn't know. (so exciting, I know)

Here is a list of things about muah:

1. I sing all day long. Even when I really should be talking. i.e. "Paaaasssssssssss thuuuuuhhhhhh saaalllttt pleeeeeeez"
2. I am addicted to candy. Preferably nerd ropes. And I eat the nerds off one at a time. OCD? It's possible.
3. I drive a white bug and I LOVE IT! It's so much fun in the summer! Winter is another story. I look like a snowball with wheels.
4. I do my makeup with the lights out. That way the natural light is even across my face. DON'T KNOCK IT TILL YOU TRY IT.
5. I love mustard. Hate mayo. My family thinks my body must be lacking something because I eat so much of it. And, I once made 12 bucks for eating a large amount of it.
6. I love washing my car at the car wash with the giant brush that foams tons of green soap.
7. I have long, dark brown hair and dark features, but when I was a little girl my hair was so blonde it looked white.
8. I find it funny that people who walk on the sidewalk usually end up talking to themselves. When I drive by I pay more attention to them than the road trying to figure out what they're saying.
9. I always made fun of my friends that didn't have middle names (I thought it was strange for some reason) then, when I was 16 at the DMV the man behind the counter let me know that Shannon (which I had written down) was not my middle name. He handed me my birth certificate and sure enough, my mom never legalized Shannon, so my legal name is Hayley Anderson. Talk about karma :)
10. I have CRAZY dreams EVERY night!! I have had them my entire life and because of that I have been contemplating starting a dream blog. That way I can have a record of them and other people can get a kick out of them. (Last night I met Jim off of The Office-sorry Robyn)
11. I am REALLY close to my family.
12. I think we should come up with a new symbol in our punctuation that is in between a period and an exclamation point. I don't like that a period at the end of my sentence makes me sound boring and that the exclamation point makes me sound like a spaz!!!!!!!!! I've found that the smiley face :) does a good job of filling the gap of this . and this !, but I would like a new symbol to represent it.
13. I have an invention in my head that I want to make. I can't give you all the details, but I will tell you it is perfect for all you superstitious people out there!
14. I LOVE saving my change. I have a fish bowl that I put it in and the last time I emptied it I had saved about $200. If you drop any near me, don't expect to get it back :) Just kidding...unless you're my boyfriend. He never gets it back. Infact, I have a quarter in my pocket right now from earlier today.
15. I love drinking Propel and I love eating fruit.
16. My favorite color is moss green.
17. I love playing pranks on people.
18. I am 25 years old.
19. I don't have my ears pierced.
20. Photography makes me feel very alive and very happy :)

What do you get when you mix a French Bulldog with a French Vanilla Cake??

After my session with Miss S, I immediately started to download all of her photos. About ten minutes into it I heard my sister-in-law scolding her dog for eating something he wasn't supposed to. This is a common theme with Marvin, he eats just about anything so I didn't think too much about it. THEN, I remembered that I (the genius) had left the cake from the shoot on the floor! I don't blame Marvin for eating though. If I were him and found a delicious cake taunting me at eye level, you KNOW I'm going for it!! Luckily the cake wasn't needed for anything else so we decided to let him have a little more! He was in doggy heaven and had us all laughing at his clear intent to eat the entire thing. Marvin is a former show dog and still has a strict diet so he totally deserved this little splurge :)

Happy Happy Birthday!

These photos are for Little Miss S' 1st birthday. Isn't she adorable?! Her skirt and matching shirt kill me! And look at her gorgeous mom! I am in love with the swing photos... Thanks Tay for being up for anything!

hint: it involves a dog.

Our Lucky Day!!

No, this is not a cardboard cutout... This really is me, Ellery and John FREAKING Mayer!!! I can't begin to describe how much fun we had at the Schleroderma benefit concert. We got to dress up, eat a fancy dinner in a beautiful ballroom and enjoy entertainment from comedians to the one and only John Mayer. We didn't know what to expect, but this night quickly became one for the books. Not only were we able to get our picture with John but we ended up talking with him and B.J. Novak (Ryan from The Office) for about fifteen minutes!! After John and I spoke about The Office and how we share the same favorite line (it's about string cheese) John ended up telling us about his trip to Japan and how he was able to clear his mind out there. IT WAS SURREAL. I really did have the time of my life and I love that I was able to share it with my John-Mayer-loving big sister.

I had been kinda shy throughout the entire night, but when I saw B.J. I let out this loud "HI!!!!!" after it came out I felt pretty stupid because I had said it so loud! I'm a HUGE fan of The Office so when I saw him I felt like we were old friends! Due to that my greeting came out a bit too forward. It turned out alright though because he was very nice and very un-hollywood...

Other celebrities we saw and met were Jay-z and Beyonce (she wouldn't pose for a picture because she didn't have her makeup on), Solange (Beyonce's little sister), Chamelionnaire (he's a rapper and Ellery scared him when she asked for a picture), the cast from Full House, minus Jessie, Stephanie and Michelle (I really only know them by their names on the show), Sarah Silverman (she was hilarious at times and really crude at other times), Jeff Ross (comedian), Marcia Cross and the hot plumber guy from Desperate Housewives, Tom Bergeron (Host of Dancing With The Stars and America's Funniest Home Videos-he was extra nice) and there were others, but I'm drawing a blank.

I'm taking off to cheer on my brother Cassidy who will be racing in the Spring Xgames on Saturday and then to have a nice little vacation with my mom and three sisters. I was going through the rest of the concert photos and found this fun shot to leave you with. I have always wanted to crowd surf! It looks so fun, besides the getting dropped part.

Be sure to tune in!!

My big sister Ellery is about to become a big star! Is she going to be on American Idol or Survivor, you ask? No, she is going to be a guest host on GOOD THINGS UTAH!!!! She and her friends sent in a tape to tryout for the show. They thought they wouldn't make it, but guess what...they did. Her turn to host is this Friday at 10 am and I think she's had about 10 anxiety attacks thinking about it. She will do a great job though, she is a gifted gabber! Ellery asked me to photograph her little monkeys so that she could show them at the beginning of the show. She wanted something colorful and fun and I think we got some really cute shots to use.

Be sure to tune in and watch El make her t.v. debut! And if she looks like she's smiling weird it's just because she's hiding her braces :) Sorry El, I had to say it!

How cool is this?! I was asked to photograph the upcoming concerts at the McKay Event Center! And not only do I get to photograph the bands during the concerts, but before as well. So all the behind-the-scenes action. These photos are from the first concert I got to shoot. And they are actually the first concert pictures I have ever taken, so go easy on me... It soooo different from everyday shooting. I'm not usually in REALLY dark lighting, getting shoved around by WILD people and GLARED at by young girls that are mad that I'm blocking their view. It was so much fun though and I cannot wait or the next one!

And while I'm on the topic of concerts.......Go to to find out why I can't stop smiling today :) :) :) :) :) :) :) :) :) :) :) :) :) :) :) :)

BTW this concert was at The Circuit, but the rest will be at the event center.
