Found these little gems as I was organizing today.

Indi is my beautiful niece. We had a fun 10 minute shoot for her baptism photos before the wind almost carried her away! Love you, Indi-Bindi!

Day 25/365:

This is how I got the idea for the name of my blog. I didn't find this sweet note until about a year after I was given the book. It stopped me in my tracks and brought tears to my eyes.

I love you too, dad.

I photographed Common last year at a concert in Park City. I must say, being a concert photographer would be an incredible job. The perks are awesome! I didn't get front row tickets, I got ONSTAGE tickets! It was so fun and so intimidating. I was just waiting for him to look at me and ask what I was doing there! Luckily, that never happened and I was able to stay for the whole show.








Another great perk is that you usually get to bring a friend with you. I asked my big sister to come and help me with equipment and to keep me safe : ) She agreed and ended up being my favorite subject of the night... Everyone in the club was envious of her dance skills. Just look at the second picture down...all eyes were on her.





Common was great, but the highlight of the night was the dancing Frenchman in the street. Somehow he got two perfect strangers to join him in the can-can. He then proceeded to do the worm and sing a song about David Hasselhoff.





Needless to say, it was a great night. For various reasons.

A Photo A Day Keeps The Journal Away

I am NOT good at journaling and I hate that I don't do it. I want my future children to get to know the me that's right now as well as the me that will be their mother. Make sense? So for my goal this year I chose to journal the way I know how. Pictures! I'm going to take a photo a day -sometimes more- and then put it all together at the end of the year. Some days I will add writing and others I will let the photo do the talking. And the best part? They don't have to be perfect. That way I will have no excuses.


Day 3/365:

Made Emy's chocolate cake today. The kitchen went up in smoke TWICE thanks to Jt's butter mishap and the cake overflowing onto the oven coil. We had to open all the doors to clear it out and WE FROZE!!!

Love the cake plate. It's one of the many that I've collected throughout the years. One day I will get them all up on the wall in the kitchen.
