Who needs a $500 rug when you can make one for $70!

Before:

Ikea Rug $40 (must be flat-woven to ensure the paint doesn't seep under the tape)

Latex paint, green Scotch tape, brush $30 (the green painter's tape sticks better than the blue)

During:

There is something very therapeutic about painting something you wouldn't normally paint!

I enjoyed every second of it. This rug only needed two coats, leaving me with half of a gallon.

After:

Pay no mind to the grumpy pug. She decided the rug felt better than cold tile and wouldn't get off.
